Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego refused to bow to the statue made by Nebuchadnezzar. The king’s decree stated that if any would decline to bow they would be thrown into a fiery furnace. When given one last chance to worship the image, they acknowledged that God would save them. But if by some chance God did not rescue them from the flames, they would still not bow.
