God’s second commandment is to not make an idol to reflect His image. When we do so, we reduce His glory and change His nature. Though we do not have idols that we bow down to today, we do reduce God to an image and change who He is to make Him easier to follow. This is dangerous because in doing so we are no longer worshipping the God of the Bible, but a figment of our imagination.
