The Power of Ordinary Christians | Priscilla and Aquila's Story (Acts 18)
Series: Acts: Ends Of The Earth Topic: Christian Living Scripture: Acts 18:1–28
What if the most powerful force in the Church isn't the pastors or apostles, but ordinary Christians living out their faith? In this verse-by-verse study of Acts 18, we discover how God uses everyday believers like Priscilla, Aquila, and Apollos to change the world. As Paul arrives in Corinth—a city so morally corrupt it became a verb meaning "completely depraved"—he's exhausted, afraid, and at his lowest point. Yet God meets him there with a powerful promise: "Do not be afraid. I am with you, and no one will harm you because I have many people in this city." This chapter shows us Paul's year and a half in Corinth, his protection from hostile Jews, and the conclusion of his second missionary journey. But more importantly, it highlights an incredible couple who risked everything for the gospel.
