After the Medes took over Babylon, Daniel was once again elevated to top level status. He was so distinguished that the king planned to set Daniel over the whole kingdom. The other officials did not like this, and they vowed to take Daniel out by getting him thrown into the lion’s den. God comes through once again, proving His sovereignty and protection of those who trust Him.
